Mentorship

Mentorship

In the world of ensemble music, sharing knowledge and experience is essential to ensuring a strong and vibrant future generation. Our mentorship program connects passionate individuals who want to learn, grow, and contribute to the development of their practice. Through personalized guidance, mentees can benefit from the support and expertise of experienced individuals to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

What Is Mentorship?

Mentorship is a voluntary, free, and confidential helping relationship. An experienced individual supports a mentee in achieving goals, developing skills, and advancing in a specific area of practice.

Mentorship Program Objectives

  • Support the next generation of ensemble music leaders and participants.

  • Foster the development of ensemble music throughout Quebec.

  • Transfer knowledge, best practices, and experience.

  • Encourage meaningful exchange between mentors and mentees.

Mentor-Mentee Matching Process

The FHOSQ creates mentor-mentee matches based on the information provided by interested participants. During the first meeting, matched participants complete a personalized participation agreement.
