Gilles-Valois Prize

This award is presented to an individual who has made an exceptional contribution to the development of ensemble music, whether through teaching, leadership, advocacy, or support of musical activities. It is awarded to a musician or to a collaborator of the FHOSQ whose outstanding career serves as an inspiration within their community and throughout Québec. Nominations must be submitted by active members of the FHOSQ Board of Directors or by FHOSQ honorary members.

Music Educator of the Year Award

This award recognizes the exceptional contribution of an FHOSQ member to music education and the practice of ensemble music. It is presented to a teacher, musician, educator, or collaborator whose career serves as a source of inspiration within their community and across Québec. Nominations must be submitted by ten (10) of the nominee's current and/or former students.

Volunteer of the Year Award

Volunteers are at the heart of the vitality and success of community and school music ensembles. Through their generosity and dedication, they make an essential contribution to the growth of their organization and to the enrichment of cultural life within their community. To recognize this outstanding commitment, the FHOSQ presents the Volunteer of the Year Award each year to an individual whose involvement has made a remarkable impact within a member ensemble. Nominations must be submitted by one or more members of the board of directors, or by the person responsible for a senior or school ensemble that is a member of the FHOSQ.

Help shine a spotlight on someone whose dedication truly makes a difference and contribute to recognizing their invaluable contribution to the life of your music ensemble.
