Who Is Eligible for the Program?
The program is available to incorporated, non-profit musical ensembles that are current FHOSQ members in good standing and whose eligibility is approved by the insurer.
Interested ensembles must contact the FHOSQ to confirm their eligibility. Enrollment in the program is subject to the insurer's approval.
How Much Does the Insurance Cost?
The insurance premium is $315 plus applicable taxes per year for the primary coverage offered through the FHOSQ insurance program.
What Is the Coverage Period?
The insurance coverage period runs from December 1 to November 30.
However, ensembles joining the program for the first time between August 1 and November 30 may qualify for a reduced rate for the current coverage period, provided they also enroll for the following coverage period. Directors and Officers Liability coverage is valid from April 1 to March 31.
What Coverage Is Included?
- $5,000,000 per occurrence;
- $5,000,000 for primary general liability coverages;
- $25,000 for medical expenses;
- No deductible for bodily injury claims;
- $500 deductible for property damage to third-party property and rented vehicles.

How Do We Add an Additional Insured?
To add an additional insured for a concert or event, complete the Additional Insured Request Form for Events.
